Founded in 2014 by Jeppe Meier and Jesper Finderup, forét grew from a shared longing for a slower way of living. Growing up together in rural Denmark, surrounded by forests, fields, and lakes, our childhood was closely tied to life outdoors. Days were shaped by nature rather than schedules, and presence came naturally. Those early experiences shaped not only who we are, but how we think about clothing today.

After moving to Copenhagen and working in fashion and creative industries, we set out to create a brand that reconnects with that feeling. Clothing that encourages presence, versatility, and a quieter rhythm in everyday life.

Inspired by the French word for forest, forét designs what we call soft outdoor. Garments that balance function and familiarity. Practical enough for changing weather and time spent outside, grounded enough for daily routines. Not technical gear for extremes, but thoughtfully made pieces for walks along the coast, weekends in the woods, mornings in the city, and everything in between.

Our collections draw from nostalgia for outdoor life and classic clothing. We look to workwear, vintage scouting uniforms, and the sun-faded colours of old camp photographs. The silhouettes feel known, overshirts, quilted jackets, corduroy trousers, updated with modern sensibility, durable materials, and small, human details. Each piece is designed to be lived in from day one and worn across seasons and occasions.

We believe that slowing down has value beyond aesthetics. It creates space for presence, reflection, and mental well-being in a world that rarely pauses. In a time defined by speed and constant renewal, forét stands for longevity, restraint, and care.
